The target dot brightness automatically adjusts depending on the ambient brightness, but can also be manually set to the brightness in the target area.

The RSA-S utilizes a hybrid power supply system consisting of a solar cell, a battery and electronics. If it is not bright enough to power the sight with solar energy, the electronics automatically switch to the battery for the needed voltage. The illumination element requires very little power. The RSA-S automatically shuts down if it not used for a long period of time. The specially developed electronics, the intelligent software and the solar cells ensure that the RSA-S can be used for years without requiring a battery change.
•Quick assembly and disassembly even on a mission
The magnification attachment and reflex sight have a special clamping device for a Picatinny rail, allowing attachment or removal from the weapon in a short time without tools. A slide secures the clamping device, ensuring that the RSA-S and the magnification attachment remain solidly connected even under the toughest conditions. A rubber protection device is available as an optional accessory.
